Welcome to the ruffle crazed house!
I learned how to sew a ruffle with my new sewing machine and I could not stop! First I tore up a white twin sheet and sitting in front of my beautiful machine, I took a deep breath....and turned the tension all the way UP! Adjusted the stitch length to the
l o n g e s t possible. Then I took off running....and ruffling like a crazy person! I added ruffles to some other twin size sheets for the family room as curtains, made some ruffles out of my toile left overs and applied them on the dyed curtains (in the kitchen) to pull it all together. I made a lamp shade cover with a ruffle...and then I decided to add ruffles to the anthropologie duvet knock off that I have been working on! Hubby kept looking at me with raised eyebrows and the sweetest smile. I know what he was thinking! But I couldn't stop!! I feel the best I have ever felt working on these projects for the house. Attempting projects that scare me as much as they give me a deeply rooted amount of confidence.
Here are pics of the new curtains...there are two of them, just not a finished picture yet.
